Mega Biscuits
Ingredients
2 cups rolled oats
4 cups cornflakes
2 cups desiccated coconut
2 cups caster sugar
1 1/2 cups plain flour
2 cups sultanas
250g butter
1/2 cup golden syrup
2 teaspoons bicarbonate of soda
1/3 cup boiling water
Method
Preheat oven to 180C.
Line 4 baking trays with baking paper.
Grease the trays.
Combine oats, cornflakes, coconut, sugar, flour and sultanas in a large bowl.
Roughly chop butter.
Combine butter, golden syrup, bicarbonate of soda and water in a small saucepan over low heat.
Cook stirring for 4 minutes.
Make sure it is well combined.
Stir butter mixture into dry ingredients.
Mix well.
Shape into 24 biscuits on baking trays.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Cool completely on trays.
