Spaghetti Bolognaise
Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
100g diced bacon
1 onion
2 celery sticks
1 carrot
3 teaspoons crushed garlic
700g mince
1/2 cup dry white wine
800g can diced Italian tomatoes
1 teaspoon beef stock
1/2 cup water
500g spaghetti
grated cheese to serve
Method
Peel and grate onion and carrot. Finely chop celery.
Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
Add bacon, onion, celery, carrot and garlic.
Cook for 10 minutes stirring often.
Increase heat to high.
Add mince.
Cook for 5 minutes.
Add wine cook for 2 minutes.
Stir in tomatoes, stock powder and water.
Bring to the boil.
Reduce heat and simmer partially covered for 20 minutes.
Cook spaghetti to packet instructions.
Season with salt and pepper.
Serve sauce on a bed of spaghetti topped with cheese.
