Meatballs in rich Tomato Sauce
Ingredients
500g mince
1/2 cup uncooked risoni (available in the pasta section of your supermarket it looks like rice)
1 brown onion
2 teaspoons crushed garlic
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
700g jar of a tomato based pasta sauce
1 1/2 cups grated cheese

Method
Peel and grate onion.
Preheat oven to 180C.
Combine mince, risoni, onion, garlic, basil and thyme in a large bowl.
Mix until very well combined.
Roll mixture into around 20 meatballs.
Place into a greased ovenproof casserole dish in a single layer.
Drizzle the pasta sauce over the meatballs and sprinkle with cheese.
Bake for 1 hour.
Serve with salad.
