Macaroni Cheese
Ingredients
1 packet macaroni
4 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons flour
4 cups milk
1 teaspoon mustard
½ teaspoon salt
Pinch cayenne pepper
1 cup grated cheese
400g tin corn
100g bacon
Method
Cook macaroni to packet instructions.
Melt butter in a saucepan.
Add flour off the heat and mix thoroughly.
Add back onto heat and cook gently for 1 minute.
Add milk and stir till boiling.
Add mustard, salt and cayenne pepper.
Add corn and bacon. Stir thoroughly.
Add half the cheese and stir.
Add the macaroni and pour into a greased pie dish.
Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top and brown in a hot oven for about 5 minutes.
