Stir Fried Beef and Vegetables
Ingredients
1 1/2 teaspoons cornflour
1/2 cup beef stock
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 teaspoon crushed garlic
1 teaspoon caster sugar
2 tablespoons peanut oil
350g sliced beef
250g beans
1 capsicum
1/2 cup bean sprouts
2 cups rice
Method
Cook rice to packet instructions.
Top and tail beans.
Slice capsicum.
Dissolve the cornflour in a little of the stock.
Add remaining stock, oyster sauce, garlic and sugar.
Set mixture aside.
Heat oil in a wok swirling gently to coat base and side.
Add beef stir fry over high heat for 2 minutes.
Add beans and capsicum and stir fry another minute.
Add the cornflour mixture and cook until the sauce boils and thickens.
Stir in bean sprouts.
Serve on a bed of rice.
