Peruvian Potatoes and Steak

Ingredients
4 Steaks
1 onion
150ml milk
150ml water
1 teaspoon ground turmeric
3 potatoes
Salt
Pepper

Method
Slice onion thinly.
Put onion, milk and turmeric in a saucepan.
Bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
Scrub the potatoes but do not peel them and cut them into bite-size chunks.
Add the potatoes to the pan and continue to simmer, covered for 15-20 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
If the liquid level looks low add a little of the water.
Cook steak to liking.
Season potatoes and serve.
