Old Fashioned Beef Stew

• Serves: 4, 4

Ingredients
700g stewing steak
6 tablespoons flour
Oil
2 onions
1 bay leaf
Salt
Pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
4 carrots
2 potatoes
1 tablespoon garlic
1 teaspoon paprika
600ml beef stock

Method
Peel carrots and potatoes.
Slice onions and carrots and cube potatoes.
Flour the steak and fry in a frying pan.
Add onions and garlic.
Add stock and Worcestershire sauce and bring to the boil.
Add paprika, salt, pepper, bay leaf, carrots and potatoes.
Reduce the heat and cover.
Cook for 1 hour.
