Beef Stroganoff (1)
Ingredients
2 tablespoons oil
500g beef
1 onion
2 teaspoons paprika
420g cream of mushroom soup
2 tablespoons tomato sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
150g button mushrooms
Sour cream
Parsley
2 cups rice
Method
Peel onion.
Chop onion.
Slice mushrooms.
Cook rice to packet instructions.
Heat oil in large fry pan.
Add beef and cook for 3 minutes.
Remove and set aside.
Add onion and cook until soft, then add paprika and cook for 2 minutes.
Add beef, soup, tomato sauce and Worcestershire sauce to pan, mix well.
Stir in mushrooms.
Bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes.
Serve on a bed of rice topped with sour cream and parsley.
