BBQ Red Wine Beef

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups red wine
1/2 cup beef stock
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup shredded basil leaves
3 teaspoons crushed garlic
5 steaks of choice
5 potatoes
cream
mixed vegetables

Method
Combine wine, stock, oil, basil and garlic with beef in a large bowl.
Stir to coat beef in marinade.
Cover and refrigerate for about 3 hours if time permits.
Preheat oven to lowest setting. Peel and chop potatoes coarsely.
Prepare mixed vegetables to liking.
Boil potatoes until tender.
Mash potatoes with cream, cover to keep warm.
Drain beef reserving marinade.
Cook beef on heated oiled grill plate for about 5 minutes each side.
Transfer beef to oven trays.
Place reserved marinade in a small saucepan bring to the boil and then simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
Serve beef with mashed potato and mixed vegetables with sauce drizzled over the top.
