Lamb Casserole in a Wok
Ingredients
500g diced lamb
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon cornflour
2 teaspoons crushed garlic
2 ½ teaspoons cornflour
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
½ teaspoon sugar
¼ teaspoon chilli powder
2 tablespoons oil
2 carrots
1 bunch shallots
3 packets of two minute noodles
Method
Peel and slice carrots.
Slice shallots.
Combine 1 tablespoon each of soy sauce, cornflour and garlic.
Stir in lamb.
Let stand for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile combine remaining soy sauce, ¾ cup water, the second amount of cornflour, sesame seeds, sugar and chilli.
Set aside.
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in hot wok.
Stir-fry lamb over high heat for 1 minute.
Add vegetables and soy sauce mixture.
Cook lamb.
Stir until the sauce boils and thickens.
Cook two minutes noodles according to packet instructions.
Serve over the noodles.
